Why
For video class I will be creating a music video to the song Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, in order to draw inspiration for my video I looked at the official music video. There are many things used in the video that I will implement into my video and am hoping will help make my video stand out.What I Can Use
I think this video did a really good job of using scene cuts to make it more interesting and this is something me and my group are planning on using in our video especially because we arn't doing a ton of acting scenes in our video. I also think this video did a good job of using facial expressions to go with the mood of the video and this is also something that will be very important in our video.
Technical Takeaway
By watching this video it is much clearer how important multiple locations and variety of shots is to make the video more interesting. By using fun camera angles such as dolly or low/high shots it can really add to the video. A huge example of this is during scenes when they are being filmed playing instruments it uses a lot of angles and different shots which is more interesting to watch then just them sitting there playing.
